KUNAL ANAND

Indian Classic - Amby

In his artist series titled Indian Classics, Kunal Anand depicts iconic Indian cars in states of assembly and disassembly — as they cluster around their typographic identities in a distinct style and bold colour palette. Introduced in 1956, the robust and much loved Ambassador or Amby was the first Indian-make to ‘rule’ the Indian roads as the ultimate family car, the lal-battis (official government vehicles) and later, even as taxis.

CARE

Screen prints are extremely delicate due to inks exposed on surface during making process. We strongly recommend frame or mounted frame to protect your screen print fully.

Avoid touching the print surface with bare hands as the moisture and oils from your skin can affect print quality. To avoid damage hold prints by the edge or wear cotton gloves while holding them. Be careful not to scuff or scratch the image side of the print. Store prints properly; protect them from airborne contaminants, extreme light levels and high temperatures. Avoid placing prints in bright sunlight. Don’t display prints outdoors. When displaying prints in frames, put them under acrylic/glass to minimise exposure to humidity, cigarette smoke and atmospheric contaminants.
