Kulture Shop was thrilled to be approached by TenArt to make the Deconstructed Innings tee. The colour blue was selected to represent the Indian cricket team uniform and a part of the infographic inspired cover design was adapted to be printed in the oh so patriotic saffron on the tee.

Infographic inspired Brochure Cover Design - Tendulkar's 100 hundreds

Interestingly, the cover, designed by Gordon Ling and Kiran Desai, is a representation of the Master Blaster’s epic 100 hundreds. It is a mirrored bar graph with each bar representing one of Sachin’s hundreds. In keeping with this, Kulture Shop too selected 10 centuries to put on the tee.Kiran Desai, co-founder of TenArt envisioned a new genre called "Sport Art"  where 10 accomplished contemporary artists are selected to use sports as a muse and create unique works of art. This exhibition was an example of such a convergence where Kiran aptly highlights that " Art, like sport, can also inspire a nation and connect with the millions of Indians who love sport."

In Sachin's words "... the creativity that goes into making artwork, the endless hours of thought that are put into it, the deft and subtle adjustments that are made, the nuances that are introduced, and the beauty of the final creation. Each and every work is like well-crafted innings. The artist has to plan, overcome adversity, negotiate difficult spells, and finally march towards scoring a century..."
